Is there any getting started guide around? Just found this site when working on my new ecobee Thermostat!
Better yet, has anyone actually used the room sensor as a temp gauge outside despite it being indoor rated? if anyone has any pointers to get started I’d appreciate it!

I toyed with the idea as well for my garage. I decided against, as I appreciate knowing the average temperature in the house and it really fell outside the purpose of keeping Ecobee centered on a single task. Of course, you can now do doorbell camera and home security with Ecobee…
I use a sensor in our vacation home garage to keep track of the temperatures in our garage. I also use one in our crawlspace. Our water system is in the garage so I need to know if we get too cold. It works fine, but it is not exposed to any weather. I do not use it as a contributing sensor to manage the ecobee.
i was wondering as I saw someone had mentioned they had one used outside. I wouldn’t actually use it to regulate the temperature inside of course
