I am looking at my cooling temperature profile and it seems to be sloping the wrong way. It shows greater cooling at higher outdoor temps, falling away from the x axis as temperature rises. This seems incorrect? Why?
This generally doesn’t happen for the cooling profiles, but it can. How long have you had your ecobee for? Have you made any recent changes to your ecobee settings or your home?
I have had the ecobee for one year. The heat pump was installed 06/2024 and I set a custom date on the data of 06/2024 to exclude my previous ac and gas furnace from the data but this reversed cooling trend appears no matter what. I did change some settings around for cooling, mostly changing the deltas to 1* and enabling compressor staging.
The only thing I can think of is that the fan of my heat pump was wired incorrectly. Turns out it was wired to always be on the high speed fan even in stage 1 cooling when it should be using the low speed fan. That has been fixed. Could it be related to that?
In a (probably) unrelated note my heating data pre 06/2024 is listed as stage 1 and stage 2 aux even though it used to say stage 1 and stage 2 heat so I dont know whats up there but thats unrelated to this and I am filtering out that data anyways
