Heating data shows as aux heat instead of heat 1 heat 2

I’m noticing this on both beestat and Ecobee. My heating data from October 2023 - April 2024 shows as aux 1 aux 2 instead of heat 1 heat 2. I know it used to be labeled correctly as heat 1 heat 2 because I calculated some stage 1 and stage 2 run time numbers based on outdoor temperature. I did not even have aux heat then. I now have heat pump (installed in May 2024 with Aux 1 electric heat) and my heat data is labeled correctly for October 2024 - today.

Is there any reason it would have switched?

Ecobee stores the data in a kind of funny way. If you used to have gas and not have a heat pump then all of the previous data will now appear as aux.

If you like I can manually change those (just email me with your thermostat serial number).
