The temperature profile slope for heating is missing from my thermostat data. This only happens if I enter a custom date. We made adjustments to our HVAC and I wanted to see if it made any noticeable difference, hence the custom date range.
Is 8 wks of data enough to populate the profile slope?
Whether or not there is enough data depends mostly on how much your heat ran in those 8 weeks. For most ecobee users, the past two months haven’t been especially cold so there’s likely not enough heating data. It usually takes at least a couple weeks of cold weather to get a profile, and a couple months for everything to average out nicely.
