Checking on recent adjustment to air balancing
So my room with sensor controlling the temp not the main thermostat recorded a cycle that turned on the heat for 13 to 14 minutes every 45 +/- min or so. It’s 25 F outside. Is this showing my system running ok? Thanks
I’m new to all this so excuse me if it seems obvious . Would appreciate some help.
Every system is different, but nothing looks crazy wrong to me.
Thanks appreciate that. Another question, if I may. This a new construction about 1.5 years old. Does it indicate an efficient system including insulation.
I would explore the Compare tab to get a better gauge of that. This accounts for the age, type, and location of your home. One of the best measures there is the “Runtime Per Degree Day”. If you are leaning towards the left side of that chart then things are likely pretty solid.
May I ask what does this look like. Runtime per degree day. Is it in the toilet for cooling or are degree days more for heating? Much appreciated.
I’d say it looks fine. The data shows that you have a slightly larger home than others in your comparison group but still manage an average (heat) or lower than average (cool) runtime per degree day. Only ~40 homes isn’t a huge comparison group, but it’s something and seems to indicate things are running well.
