System type?

Does beestat take into account the type of heating/cooling system I have??

I have a Mitsubishi mini split system that is variable speed with air handlers for each zone. The system doesn’t run as often as my old condo and when it does it’s definitely not going full force?

Just wondering if the comparison stats are hurting me when my system is likely more efficient than the numbers are suggesting.

Thanks,
Mike

No, not really. All beestat can do is guess based essentially on the wiring and a few options that you can pick on the thermostat itself. A mini split isn’t going to look any different than a standard heat pump so you’ll just get lumped into that group. I could add mini split as an option, but the comparisons would be useless because you would need to rely on lots of other users both having that system type and actually setting it.
