I’ve got an emporia vue3 energy monitor with sensors on my 2 stage heatpump and have built a spreadsheet showing the energy usage timestamped along with the ecobee data showing when the heatpump is on and in what stage. It appears to show an offset, in that the ecobee is reporting the system on, and using stage 1 for several minutes while the energy usage is still idling at 50 watts or so. The energy usage only seems to kick up once stage 2 kicks in. Any similar behavior by others out there, or an explanation for a newbie? (me!). A related question: the 5 minute reporting of ecobee data - is that reporting what happened the previous 5 minutes ending with the timestamp of the data point?
